PYROMETRIC CONE EQUIVALENT (PCE) – ASTM C24

The VBCC Pyrometric Cone Equivalent (PCE) Test System is a fully automated high-temperature testing system designed to determine the refractoriness of refractory materials by comparing their softening behavior with standard pyrometric cones. The system accurately identifies the equivalent cone number corresponding to the softening temperature of the test specimen.

The equipment incorporates a high-temperature MoSi? heated furnace, rotating sample platform, precision cone positioning mechanism, integrated thermal imaging camera, and LabVIEW-based software for real-time monitoring and data recording. Designed for refractory manufacturers, research laboratories, ceramic industries, and quality control facilities, the system provides reliable and repeatable determination of refractoriness characteristics up to 1800°C.
